T. Ravindran et al., PHOTOCARRIER GENERATION AND TRANSPORT IN A PARTIALLY POLYMERIZED POLYDIACETYLENE, Journal of physics. Condensed matter, 6(35), 1994, pp. 7045-7054
Steady-state and transient photoconductivities have been investigated
as a function of electric field, light intensity and temperature in si
ngle crystals of partially polymerized polydiacetylene, 1,4-bis(3-quin
ol)-1,3-butadiyne, with conjugating side groups. The polarization depe
ndence of the steady-state photocurrent was also investigated. The one
-dimensional Onsager theory of geminate recombination qualitatively ac
counts for the experimental results. Deviation from the theory is obse
rved in the temperature dependence of the transient peak photocurrent
at temperatures below 100 K.
