Sp. Gabuda et al., ANOMALOUS TL-TL MULTICENTERED EXCHANGE INTERACTION OF NUCLEAR SPINS IN A QUANTUM-CONFINED [TL4CL]3+ CLUSTER, Chemical physics letters, 227(1-2), 1994, pp. 51-53
The NMR Tl-203 and Tl-205 spectra of [Tl4Cl]3+ clusters introduced int
o pores of sodalite were studied. The well-resolved fine structure of
the spectra revealed that a strong indirect exchange interaction of Tl
nuclear spins in clusters takes place (J=28.1+/-0.2 kHz), and the int
ercluster interaction of Tl spins is found to be negligible. Compariso
n with earlier data using the indirect thallium spin-spin interaction
in bulk TlCl indicates a sharp increase of the contribution of the mul
tiparticle interaction in [Tl4Cl]3+ clusters as a result of conditions
of quantum confinement in the structure pores of sodalite.
