T. Weiske et al., HIGH-ENERGY COLLISIONS OF KR-AT-C-60- EVIDENCE FOR THE FORMATION OF HEKR-AT-C-60+( WITH HELIUM ), Chemical physics letters, 227(1-2), 1994, pp. 87-90
High energy collisions of Kr@C60+. with stationary helium atoms provid
e additional evidence that - as demonstrated earlier (Saunders, Jimene
z-Vazquez, Cross, Mroczkowski, Gross, Giblin and Poreda) - a krypton a
tom penetrates the carbon network of C60-fullerenes under thermal cond
itions (15 atm, 600-degrees-C, 2 h). In the collision experiments, sig
nals are also observed that can best be explained in terms of a HeKr@C
60+. compound.
