Abstract
An explicit expression for water temperature is presented as a functio n of time and space coordinates. The effects of several parameters, e. g. flow velocity, water depth and the length of the collector, on the performance of the system are also addressed. For appreciation of the results, numerical calculations have been performed using the meteorol ogical parameters for a typical winter day in Delhi.
