Abstract
This paper describes an improved version of a formerly published metho d for measuring the performance of real digital systems. The method yi elds samples of the complex frequency response. If required the measur ement can be done with higher frequency resolution in desired interval s. As before we obtain in addition samples of the power density spectr um of the noise, which is due to wordlength reductions after arithmeti c operations.
