Abstract
Thermal buckling of symmetric and non-symmetric cross-ply composite la minated beams is investigated based on a first-order shear deformation theory. Detailed analytical analysis is carried out for the thermal b uckling parameter of laminated beams made out of Kevlar-epoxy, carbon- epoxy and glass-epoxy. The results are presented for various boundary conditions, lay-up sequences, slenderness ratios and transverse shear moduli.
