Tc. Rao et R. Barakat, NEAR-FIELD SCATTERING BY A CONDUCTING CYLINDER PARTIALLY BURIED IN A CONDUCTING PLANE, Optics communications, 111(1-2), 1994, pp. 18-25
The problem of far field scattering from an infinitely long perfectly
conducting circular cylinder that is partially buried in a conducting
plane was studied previously with the help of the image principle and
the cylindrical vector wave functions for both transverse magnetic (TM
) and transverse electric (TE) polarizations of the obliquely incident
plane wave. The results of the scattered near field when the observat
ion point is very close to the cylinder as a function of the electrica
l radius, the angle of incidence and the height parameter are presente
d in this article.
