Abstract
In the presence of catalytic amounts of BiCl3, chloromethylsilanes cou ld be used as chlorinating agents of alcohols and alkoxysilanes. At rt , t-butanolysis of polychlorosilanes led to polysiloxanes in quantitat ive yield.
