Abstract
The melt rheological behavior of polymer blends was investigated by me ans of a capillary rheometer. The systems chosen for study were blends of polystyrene (PS) with different molecular weights and blends of po ly-methylmethacrylate (PMMA) with different molecular weights. A modif ied concentric multilayer model was proposed to correlate the rheologi cal properties of the polmer blends with the composition and shear rat e. The agreement between the calculated values and the measured ones i s satisfactory.
