Abstract
Lactoperoxidase(E.C. 1.11.1.7.) from acid whey was recovered by immobi lized copper affinity chromatography using, as starting buffer, 0.05 M Tris-acetic acid, 0.5 M NaCl, pH 8. Eluition was performed stepwise w ith the same buffer by varying the pH from 8.0 to 2.5. Partially purif y bioactive enzyme was released at pH 4 with a recovery of 10 mg from 200 ML of acid whey.
