Oa. Nerushev et Sa. Novopashin, MEASUREMENT OF MOLECULAR POLARIZABILITY BY RAYLEIGH-SCATTERING, Instruments and experimental techniques, 37(2), 1994, pp. 247-249
This paper describes a facility for measuring of atomic and molecular
polarizability by Rayleigh scattering. Measurements of gas with a know
n polarizability are used for calibration. Test experiments were carri
ed out with nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, water, and acetone vapors
and the measurements were compared to the literature data. The method
has been used to measure the polarizability of fullerene molecules.
