Abstract
The action of N-bromosuccinimide/triethyla;mine tris(hydrofluoride) (N BS/Et(3)N.3HF) on vinyloxiranes leads to the corresponding bromofluori nated oxiranes. The regioselectivity and yield of the reaction can be related to the degree of substitution on the vinyl group.
