Abstract
Multiple leiomyomata of the small intestine are rare. We report one su ch case where a leiomyosarcoma had arisen from a leiomyoma in the smal l intestine 8 years after presentation. The possible origin of the lei omyomata is discussed and it is concluded that small intestinal leiomy omatosis should be regarded as a premalignant condition.
