Abstract
The analysis presented deals with the accuracy of a piezoelectric weig h-in-motion system installed on Interstate 19 in the state of Oregon. Axle weights for 5-axle tractor semi-trailer trucks were measured by t he piezoelectric weigh-in-motion system and then compared with the sta tic weights. An analysis of variance and Dunnett's test were conducted in order to determine if there existed a significant difference betwe en data. The analysis showed no significant difference for steering ax le and tandem axle weights. However, the analysis did indicate that a significant difference existed for trailing tandem.
