This article presents the removal of an attached pulp denticle with th
e use of a pulsed dye laser. The quartz fiber was introduced in the ro
ot canal and placed in direct contact with the free border of the dent
icle. Thirty-two pulses were necessary to fragment the pulp stone. A s
canning electron-microscopic study shows a sharp section at the base o
f the pulp stone.
