Abstract
Attempts have been made to use nuclear track detectors in the measurem ent of neutrons, alpha-particles and heavy multi-charged particles. Cu rrently, some of the most important applications include the use of so lid-state track detectors in neutron dosimetry, in radon dosimetry in homes and in mines, and charged-particle measurements in space and of accelerator beams used for biomedical applications. In this paper, a r eview will be given of recent track-detector developments in the field s of neutron and radon measurements.
