The natural radioactivities inside Dandara temple are studied by using
a NaI(Tl) scintillation spectrometer. The variation of these activiti
es with location is investigated. Average values of the identified rad
ionuclides inside the halls, sanctuary and crypt of the temple are exa
mined. It is estimated that the mean value lies in the range 37.9-90.1
for Pb-212, 70.0-36.0 for Bi-214, 52.6-76.2 for Ac-228, 1.6-5.9 for T
l-208, while for K-40 it is 169.3-286.6.
