Abstract
An object-oriented design for the distributed computer control system of the accelerator ring EUTERPE is presented. Because of the experimen tal nature of the ring, flexibility is of the utmost importance. The o bject-oriented principles have contributed considerably to the flexibi lity of the design incorporating multiple views, multi-level access an d distributed surveillance.
