Abstract
A simple analytical model is presented for the plasma in the region ou tside the limiter which describes the impurity ions transport and prod uction in the tokamak scrape-off layer. The equations of the model are solved analytically in the test particle approximation for the simple SOL configurations. A discussion of the solutions for different plasm a parameters and target materials is presented.
