Abstract
A kinetic modelling of 1d collisional and 2d Vlasov magnetic SOL's usi ng the W1 and W2 particle codes is presented. Deviation of the distrib ution function from the equilibrium one is shown, as well as the possi bility of kinetic instability in diverted plasmas.
