A. Gabriel et al., HOT EXTRUSION OF FE-ND-B MAGNETS - DIRECT METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF INTEGRATED STATORS AND ROTORS, Journal de physique. IV, 3(C7), 1993, pp. 2197-2200
A new approach to produce integrated magnetic devices is presented her
e. The hot extrusion of a multicomponent billet can produce directly s
tators or rotors for electrical engines or actuators. The different st
eps of the manufacturing route and the metallurgical principles of the
process are described. A review of the most important parameters is d
one. Remanence of the hot extruded magnet is between 7,5 and 8 kG with
a coercitivity of 15 kOe. The magnetic performances allow the economi
cal use of these components in many large scale production of small el
ectrical engines or actuators.
