The conditions of stabilization of the gaseous medium during pulsed-pe
riodical operation of the photodissociation iodine laser were determin
ed on the basis of analysis of the balance relationships in the closed
circuit system between the processes of decomposition of fluoroalkyl
iodides in the active volume of the laser and displacement of these su
bstances from the bed of the carbonic adsorbent with photolysis produc
ts during the circulation in the closed circuit. The use of carbonic a
dsorbents with standard characteristic adsorption energy E approximate
ly 20 kJ . mole-1 is shown to have an advantage when used in the close
d circuit system.
