Abstract
Dye sensitization of photocatalytical oxidation (PCO) has been found t o be a new pathway of pollutant degradation. Terbutylazine was decompo sed by applying visible light using rose bengal as sensitizer and tita nium dioxide as photocatalyst. Degradation rates of > 50% have been re alized. A mechanism of the sensitized photocatalytical oxidation (SPCO ) is proposed.
