Highly disperse porous HDPE matrices prepared by polymer drawing in th
e liquid environment via delocalized crazing were used for preparation
of electroconducting polyacetylene-HDPE composites. The composites ob
tained were shown to possess a marked anisotropy in both mechanical an
d electrophysical properties due to a perferential orientation of poly
acetylene as a result of in situ polymerization of acetylene within th
e porous HDPE matrices.
