Abstract
During the past 25 years of operation of Abu Dhabi desalination plants considerable information has been gathered on the vapour side corrosi on of copper base condenser tubes. The present paper describes the phe nomenon, its causes, characteristics and mode of action of two types o f corrosion. The paper also outlines Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity D epartment (WED) experience in the field.
