The molecular structures of 4-amino-2-methylthio-6-oxo-1 ,6-dihydropyr
imidine trihydrate (AMT, C5H7N3- OS.3H(2)O), -1-methyl-2-methylthio-6-
oxo-1,6-dihydropyrimidine (AMEMT, C6H9N3OS), 4-amino-2-methoxy-1 -meth
yl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyrimidine (AMH, C6H9N3O2) and 4-amino-2-methoxy-1
-methyl-5-nitroso-6-oxo-1 ,6-dihydropyrimidine monohydrate (AMEMONO, C
6H8N4O3.H2O) show that, as has been reported for analogous compounds,
there is extensive electron delocalization in the pyrimidine rings of
all four compounds.
