Abstract
Electrospray-ionization mass spectrometry was used to identify a novel , highly polar metabolite of diflunisal isolated from Gunn rat urine, Negative ion spectra were obtained of the sulphate conjugate of diflun isal and the new metabolite, which was identified as a sulphate conjug ate of 3-hydroxydiflunisal.
