Let P-q(3) (or PG(3, q)) denote the projective space of dimension 3 ov
er a finite field F-q. A class of codes has been constructed from curv
es of complete intersection in P-q(3). Parameters, generators and pari
ty-check matrices are given. Another result is that a decoding algorit
hm turns out to be generalization of the algorithm for decoding plane
algebraic curve codes. The proposed algorithm has a complexity O(n(4))
, where n is the length of the codes.
