Abstract
Effects of ultrasonic agitation during electroplating of nickel with 5 g/L of colloidal silica has been reported. A comparison has been made between the deposits obtained from mechanically agitated bath and an ultrasonically agitated bath. Ultrasonic agitation provides more unifo rmly dispersed deposits and the microhardness of the deposit is found to be increased.
