E. Rafikov et al., FREQUENCY AND TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENCE OF THE THERMOPOLARIZATION RESPONSE IN DYNAMIC INVESTIGATIONS, Physica status solidi. a, Applied research, 144(2), 1994, pp. 471-477
The frequency and temperature dependence of the thermopolarization (TP
) response both in low and high frequency regimes are experimentally s
tudied for the first time. These experiments are performed using the p
araelectric phase of the ferroelectrics PbNi1/3Nb2/3O3 and PbMg1/3Nb2/
3O3 as examples. In the high frequency regime the magnitude of the dyn
amic TP response is proportional to omega(-1/2) and practically indepe
ndent on sample thickness and temperature. In the low frequency regime
the dynamic TP response is proportional to omega(1/2), inversely prop
ortional to the sample thickness, and its temperature behavior follows
that of the bulk susceptibility. These experimental results support p
revious theoretical inferences.
