Abstract
The authors propose a method for measuring the group velocity dispersi on, including the polarity, of optical fibre by using a single wavelen gth light source. The method is based on the interplay between phase m odulation-amplitude modulation (PM-AM) conversion and self-phase modul ation (SPM).
