Abstract
Industrial application examples for plate, strip and beam rolling as w ell as for thin slab rolling reveal a sufficient accuracy of a metalph ysically- based model for describing the microstructural evolution dur ing hot rolling of unalloyed weldable structural steels. The current d evelopment stage justifies the transition from offline to on-line appl ication of microstructure models.
