Abstract
Using postoperative magnetic resonance imaging the accuracy of CT-guid ed three-dimensional targeting of stereotactic thalamotomy for movemen t disorders was demonstrated in 13 patients. CT guidance should be ado pted for functional neurosurgery in preference to ventriculographic gu idance as it can be shown to be sufficiently accurate and it is far le ss disturbing to the patient.
