Abstract
The results of a Monte Carlo/semianalytic estimation of the performanc e of DS spread spectrum ISM band radio LANs in a time dispersive chann el are presented. The results show that these DS systems have an advan tage over FH systems of 4-6 times, depending on diversity scheme, in m aximum tolerable delay spread or maximum transmission rate.
