Abstract
Generalised first- and second-order filters are presented for the reco nstruction of bandlimited signals from past samples. In each case the minimum sampling frequency is derived and the corresponding filter coe fficients obtained. A tradeoff exists between the rate of convergence of the reconstruction and the sampling frequency.
