Abstract
Several experimental studies have shown an interaction between renin-a ngiotensin-aldosterone system and erythropoiesis, while several clinic al studies in essentially patients with chronic renal failure have rep orted that ACE-inhibitor interfere with erythropoiesis. The clinical c onsequences of this effect need to be determined before condemning ACE -inhibitor use in this patients.
