Sv. Kostin et al., EFFECTS OF TRANSIENT COMBUSTION AT THE END FACES OF CYLINDRICAL SAMPLES OF LOW-GAS MIXTURES, Combustion, explosion, and shock waves, 29(5), 1993, pp. 552-556
The role of heat and mass transfer by gas flow at the initial and fina
l stages of the combustion of low-gas-mixture samples is investigated.
Transient phenomena are considered. These occur in the course of init
iation and decay of the combustion and depend on the combustion wave s
tructure as well as on the conditions of gas mass exchange through the
lateral and end surfaces of the sample.
