Abstract
In this paper, we study the velocity and temperature profiles in a ver tical water flow after a sudden change of the inlet temperature. Atten tion is focused on the comparison between positive and negative steps, and on their consequence concerning the wall and bulk temperatures. A significant difference is shown between these two situations.
