Abstract
The adiabatic ionisation potential of the CuAg molecule was measured u sing two-colour photoionisation spectroscopy, via the A(0+) state. A v alue of 62768.7(90) cm-1 (7.7823(12)eV) was obtained. Using this value in conjunction with other thermodynamic and spectroscopic data, we de duced that D0(0)(CuAg+) = 1.53(10 eV. Comparisons are made with the pa rent homonuclear coinage dimers Cu2 and Ag2.
