RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN ALLOY POWDERS FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE STRUCTURAL APPLICATIONS

P/M parts producers face constant demands from their customers to prov ide parts with improved properties. This, in turn, challenges the powd er producers to provide powders with improved properties, from both th e processing and final product standpoint. In this article, recent dev elopments at Ametek in the areas of improved corrosion resistant stain less steels and improved mechanical properties through the use of fine r powders are discussed.
