Abstract
Many elements of transmission line theory are not adequately addressed in most of the textbooks in power system analysis. As a result of thi s omission students fail to realize the concepts that are essential fo r the design of power transmission lines. This paper makes that connec tion between elements of transmission line theory and their applicatio ns in the design of power transmission lines by providing many numeric al examples.
