Abstract
PbO/B2O3-based glass coatings were applied to monolithic YBa2Cu3Ox wir es. Smooth, dense coatings were obtained by heating in O-2 at 375 degr ees C for 0.5-1.0 h. The coatings did not affect superconducting prope rties and provided mechanical strengthening.
