Abstract
The quadrupole moment ratio of Li-9 and Li-11 was measured by a combin ation of in-beam laser induced nuclear polarization and beta-NMR in Li NbO3. The result IQ(Li-11)/Q(Li-9)/= 1.14(16) is consistent with clust er models describing Li-11 as composed of a Li-9 core and a far extend ed halo of two loosely bound neutrons.
