Abstract
Since the competition between cluster and constituent multiparticle em ission producing the same residual nucleus in a nuclear reaction depen ds on the mechanism of the reaction, the pn over d ratio in the O-16 ( Li-6, pn/d) reaction, measured between 10 and 19 MeV, is used to ident ify its mechanism as a function of energy.
