Sv. Burenkov et al., METHOD FOR MEASURING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF UNDERWATER ACOUSTIC ARRAYS IN REAL ENVIRONMENTS, Measurement techniques, 37(1), 1994, pp. 70-75
A method is described for measuring the amplitude-frequency and spatia
l (directional) characteristics of underwater acoustic arrays in real
environments, i.e., in the presence of interfering reflections. The me
thod is based on the application of time-delay spectrometry and wideba
nd swept-frequency signals. The results of full-scale experiments are
reported, demonstrating the high accuracy, noise immunity, and efficie
ncy of the proposed method.
