Abstract
Condensation of benzotriazole, an aldehyde, and either an amine or ami de using the method of Katritzky gave N-[1-benzotriazol-1-yl)alkyl]ami des and -amines, which were treated with tributyl,stannyllithium or tr imethylstannyllithium to afford N-[1-(trialkyl-stannyl)alkyl]amides an d -amines, respectively. These compounds are important precursors of n itrogen-substituted organolithium reagents.
