P. Navarotto et Guarino M",santambrogio, EVALUATION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL DUST AND MYCETES IN A THOROUGHBRED STABLE, Transactions of the ASAE, 37(1), 1994, pp. 229-233
Environmental dust has been evaluated quantitatively and qualitatively
in samples taken three times a day during the winter from a stable in
which thoroughbred horses are trained, situated on the outskirts of M
ilan (near the San Siro Galloping Race Track). In addition to the quan
tity of dust, the major fungal species in the environment were sampled
to see how they affect the respiratory function of the horses. This s
tudy is the first step in a continuing study of the environmental cont
amination in training stables for thoroughbred horses.
