The observed broadening of the line shape of the emission spectra of t
he luminescence centers in crystals with high electron-lattice couplin
g has been explained in terms of the ion-motion spatial confinement in
the lattice. For this, a simple and analytically solvable model for t
he potential of the electronic energy sheets has been proposed. As an
example of application the emission spectrum of BiO69-complex has been
analyzed.
