Abstract
It is shown that the field of temperature gradients has no significant anomalies (on spatial scales of 1000 x 1000 km2 for a network scale o f 100 km) within the zones of natural spatial variations and within th e time intervals preceding (up to 5 days) the onset of a tropical dist urbance (TD), during the birth of the TD and after the TD leaves the p lace where it was born.
