The production of charmed LAMBDA(c)+ baryons and D- mesons was observe
d in neutron-nucleus interactions at neutron beam momenta of 40 - 70 G
eV/c. In both cases, two decay modes were detected, namely, LAMBDA(c) --> K(S)0ppi+pi- (59 +/- 13.4 events) and LAMBDA(c)+ --> K-(892)ppi 17 +/- 5.4 events) for LAMBDA(c)+ baryons and D- --> K(S)0/pi+pi- pi-
(52 +/- 11.4 events) and D- --> K+(892)pi-pi- (14 +/- 4.5 events) for
D- mesons. The relative branching ratios [GAMMA(LAMBDA(c)+ --> K-(89
2)ppi+ --> K(S)0ppi+pi-)]/[GAMMA(LAMBDA(c)+ --> K(S)0ppi+pi-)] = 0.29
+/- 0.09 and [GAMMA(D- --> K+(892)pi- pi- --> K(S)0pi+pi-pi-)]/[GAMMA
(D- --> K(S)0pi+pi-pi-)] = 0.27 +/- 0.09 K(S)0pi+pi-pi-)] = 0.27 +/- 0
.09 were determined for these decays. The experiment was carried out u
sing the BIS-2 spectrometer on the Serpukhov accelerator.
